Five reasons to wear a UV Mask in public

The incidence rate is growing, and until we take a responsible approach to the problem, it will not decrease. The UVmask is not a whim or a stupid rule, but a way to stop the infection.

The staff of hospitals and health centers wears face UVmasks to prevent the spread of disease. This is not the only coronavirus but also many other infections – various ARVI, influenza, measles, or rubella. Wearing a UVmask will help prevent the spread of infection and reduce the risk of a person becoming infected with infectious agents (and these are not only viruses but also bacteria) that are transmitted through the air.

When someone coughs, talks, or sneezes, they can release germs into the air that can infect others.

Wearing a UVmask, you protect society and yourself:

Visiting almost all public places requires the use of UVmasks to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including shops, public transport, clinics, and entertainment centers.

You’ve heard this before, but we’ll say it again: wearing a UVmask is an extra step in reducing the spread of droplets of mucus and saliva that the virus may contain.

Wearing a UVmask when you cannot physically distance yourself from others and frequent hand washing protects you and those close to you, including children, pregnant women, and the elderly.

They interfere with touching the face:

It is difficult for all of us to control our involuntary actions. Touching the face is practically second nature, and most of the time we are not aware that we are three eyes, touching our cheeks, or rubbing our nose. By wearing a UVmask in public, we limit direct contact with the nose and mouth, which are the main gateways for viruses such as COVID-19.

By practicing good hygiene and cleaning our hands before and after using the UVmask, we take an extra step to prevent the spread of the disease.

Things to remember when putting on a UVmask:

  • Do not touch the outside of it while it is on your face.
  • Do not pull it below your chin while wearing it (otherwise it will be useless).
  • Don’t let it dangle on your face as this increases the risk of cross-contamination.

Remind of physical distance:

While they help when it is impossible to physically distance yourself, visual perception allows you to be attentive and keep personal space from the invasion of those outside the “circle of trust.”

Help to limit contamination of various objects and surfaces:

By wearing a UVmask, you not only reduce the spread of droplets from yourself to others, but you also limit the spread of droplets on objects that people can touch.

Even if you are not coughing or sneezing, talking, singing, or screaming can allow the droplets to spread into the air and settle on objects that you are not aware of but that other people are touching.

It gives relative freedom:

This does not limit it but helps to bring it back. By reducing the transmission of the virus in the community and increasing the safety of every interaction with others. Wearing a UVmask allows you to go to work, attend school, socialize with others and, most importantly, reduce the risk of illness and unnecessary fear.

Research shows that until the COVID-19 vaccine reaches mainstream use, physically distancing and wearing a UVmask in public is the best way to prevent the spread of the disease if you are physically unable to self-isolate at home.

How to wear a UVmask correctly?

Always wash your hands with soap and water before touching them. Remove from packaging or box and make sure there are no holes or tears in it. Make sure you determine which side is the top and which is the front so you can put it on correctly.

  • Earloop UVmasks: Grasp the earloops and place the loops around each ear.
  • UVmasks with ties: Bring the UVmask to your nose and pull the upper ties behind your head to tie them in a knot, then secure the lower ties. Headband face UVmasks.
